Today I feel like.......

How do you feel today? Tired? Joyful? Blessed? Sad? This time of year usually brings with it a wealth of emotions and the rest is yet to come.

So many people seem to truly forget how blessed they are and not only in material things, but in the little things like the people around them, the simple joys of a smile or what a blessing it is to just be able to feel the sunlight against your skin.

Doesn't matter how you feel, try to always be thankful for even the smallest of things. I am so thankful for the many blessings that I have in SL and RL. This includes all the wonderful things that I have been blessed to do such as my blogging for sponsors. Yes, I am serious. My blogging has been the bridge for me to meet so many wonderful creators, teachers, supporters, and make new friends as well.

For this post, I am going to include kind of one of each of these categories. Bear with me lol, I am not crazy, to quote Sheldon "my mother had me tested". Before going to bed tonight, I will.......

Sleep, it seems to elude me on some nights. However, I have found that my body and mind prefer a routine when I am getting ready for bedtime. Normally, my routine starts off with a midnight snack of a bowl of cereal (I am a cereal junkie), brushing my teeth, letting my dogs out, setting my alarm and hopping into bed. 

Yes, I know, simple. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. On the days it doesn't work, there is no amount of medicine that I can take to make my body and mind shut off and sleep. 

There are times, that I wish I could wrap myself into these comfy pajamas, as created by Blacklace. They make me want to just slip them on and slip between the sheets. So comfy looking, not to mention just plain gorgeous (as all her items are). This set comes with long pants or shorts, but in RL I don't usually wear long pants to bed, so I wore the shorts here instead.

So, what kind of things do you do before going to bed? How do you let your body know it's time to shut down for the day? Do you have comfy things that you wear to bed?

Stepping outside my box

Predictability......whether you think you are predictable or not, you are. I always thought that I was different or tried to be unpredictable, but no matter how much I try, I always seem to rely on the same basics all the time. 

Just the other day, I noticed that even in my blog posts, I was getting comfortable and using the same things for each post. Nothing ever changed...

Well, this is a post where I have stepped out of my box even just a little bit, but I am reminded that not everyone has the ability to step outside of their box. This leads me to the purpose for this outfit....

The "Dreams Way" project was created with the purpose of helping "Brigadoon Explorers" and "Dreams" Foundations, which are active in organizing various activities for people affected by A/S and autism. 

The agency is present in Second Life with an active avatar: Golda Stein.

All proceeds from the event will be payed on a cashier avatar named "Dreamsway Resident" created by founder of Dreams Way, Shanty Bookmite. Once the event ends all the incomes will be devolved to Golda Stein through an SL transaction.

For greater transparency, Shanty Bookmite will post on the blog (http://dreams-way-sl.blogspot.it/) a record of every transaction to Dreamsway Resident as well as the final transaction to Golda Stein. Each participant to the event will be able to verify the amount of each transaction and that all the proceeds will be devolved to the avatar representing the Foundations, Golda Stein.

It was due to the Dreams Way project that I was able to participate in a runway charity event show with Charltina's. The show director, Boniefacio and his partner, Ponchituti Boucher, were doing style checks for this event. Well, shocker, I arrive in my normal "inside the box" styling and immediately they tell me that I need to edge this outfit up, do something different. It was even suggested that I wear a short hair with shaved on the side and I was sent out to do something different. 

Rule #1....never leave me to my own device lol. Not only did I purchase one new hair....I think I ended up purchasing five. Designers love it! lol

Since my favorite color is purple, I went crazy incorporating color into the gray and black outfit. Upon my return, to show off my new styling, I was greeted with raves.
